Update on MA Health Care Rollout

This week, the panel charged with making Massachusetts' historic health care reform law work will make decisions that observers say will have an impact on its success — or failure.

A vote scheduled for Thursday is about what kind of coverage uninsured residents will have to buy and what it might cost.

According to the "Health Care Reform Act," all Bay State residents will be required to have insurance starting July first next year.

WBUR's Martha Bebinger is tracking the roll-out of this first-in-the-nation law and joins Morning Edition host Bob Oakes with the latest.

The audio for this story will be available on WBUR's web site after 10 a.m. Tuesday.

This program aired on November 28, 2006. The audio for this program is not available.
