MA Leads Landmark Global Warming Case

The Bay State is leading a landmark case on global warming before the US Supreme Court today. It marks the first time the issue has reached the nation's highest court.

Local environmental groups have lobbied for seven years to get to this point, and 11 other states have since joined Massachusetts in the case.

Their aim is to force the Environmental Protection Agency to regulate vehicular carbon dioxide emissions, and other greenhouse gases, under the Clean Air Act.

This program aired on November 29, 2006. The audio for this program is not available.
