For Sale: City Hall and Plaza?

Boston Mayor Tom Menino is proposing a plan to sell City Hall and move its headquarters from downtown Boston to the South Boston waterfront.

The current home of city government is a concrete and angular structure in Government Center, across from historic Faneuil Hall.

The Mayor floated this idea in 1998 but it didn't develop. Now he says the sale of City Hall would galvanize its current downtown site and create momentum in a new waterfront location.

WBUR's Business and Technology Reporter Curt Nickisch goes to Government Center to gauge reaction to the mayor's proposal.
