Growing State Interest in Pilot Schools

Today, the Massachusetts Board of Education meets to hear whether four schools with persistently low test scores are interested in becoming pilot schools. All but one are outside Boston.

If they choose not to do so, they'll face state intervention. If they do decide to convert to pilot schools, that will be seen as a big step for the pilot movement, which so far has been limited to Boston. WBUR's Monica Brady-Myerov reports.

This program aired on December 19, 2006. The audio for this program is not available.
