SJC to Hear Church Case

Today the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court will hear arguments in a case that could clarify who owns assets of closed Catholic churches.

The case revolves around the St. James the Great Church in Wellesley, which was closed in 2004, but is still occupied by parishioners who want to keep it open.

WBUR's Monica Brady-Myerov spoke with parishioners of St. James about their fight to save their church.

This program aired on February 8, 2007. The audio for this program is not available.
