Impact of Repeat Deployments

Marine Captain Jennifer Harris was on her third tour in Iraq when she died in a helicopter crash this week. According to Pentagon figures, Harris was among an increasing number of soldiers who are on repeat deployments to the region.

For a look at the impact of that trend, WBUR's Bob Oakes turns to Kevin Ryan. He's a retired Brigadier General who's currently a Senior Research Fellow at Harvard's Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs.
