Cambridge Band Hits Big Easy

Mardi Gras kicks into high-gear in New Orleans this week. Hundreds of musicians will fill the Crescent City between now and 'Fat Tuesday,' including Cambridge-based Revolutionary Snake Ensemble.

WBUR's Andrea Shea explores why this northern brass band was invited south to Mardi Gras and also why its musicians are making this pilgrimage to their musical roots by train.

This program aired on February 15, 2007. The audio for this program is not available.
