Gas Prices Rising Sharply

Gas prices are rising sharply in Massachusetts.

AAA of Southern New England says prices are up for the 4th straight week, surging by 16 cents this week.

The average price for a gallon of self serve gasoline is $2.44.

The spike in prices is attributed to higher demand caused by a seasonal rise in industrial activity.
