Governor Deval Patrick is urging federal authorities not to move any more workers, detained in an immigration raid, out of the state.
Patrick says he wants to ensure that all of their children have been located and that arrangements have been made for their care.
More than 300 people were detained for possible deportation as illegal immigrants in a raid on a New Bedford leather factory Tuesday.
About 150 of them have already been flown to a federal detention center in Texas.
