Violence in Boston: A Closer Look

As city officials struggle to find a solution to the recent surge of violence in Boston, the death toll continues to climb.

Sixteen people have been killed this year in the city - six more than by this time last year.

WBUR's Bob Oakes speaks with Dr. Deborah Prothrow-Stith, director of programs at Harvard's Youth Violence Prevention Center, about what might be behind the killings.

This program aired on April 3, 2007. The audio for this program is not available.
