Breast Cancer Study

A new study from Harvard Medical School finds that having an abortion does not increase a woman's risk of having breast cancer.

The study looked at data from over 100,000 women over 10 years and found no greater rate of breast cancer among women who reported having abortions.

In 2003, a group of scientists convened by the National Cancer Institute also found that abortion did not raise the risk of developing breast cancer, as earlier studies had suggested.
