Mashpees Buy Middleboro Land
A developer working with the Mashpee Waumpanoag tribe has purchased 125 acres of land in Middleboro.
A spokeswoman for the tribe says there are no plans at this time for how the tribe will use the land, purchased for close to $1.8 million.
The tribe has begun preliminary talks with the town of Middleboro and other towns to build a casino.
