Leaders Vow Gay Marriage Fight

Governor Deval Patrick, House Speaker Sal DiMasi and Senate President Therese Murray locked hands in a victory salute on Thursday, in an unplanned appearance before gay marriage supporters.

After the rally, DiMasi said he may try to delay a June 14th vote on the anti-gay marriage ballot question, saying he didn't want to take the vote unless he was sure it could be defeated.

But those working to make gay marriage illegal again say their votes are solid and they expect the Senate President to call for a June vote.

WBUR's Martha Bebinger reports on the developments.
