McGovern Reflects on Food Stamp Experiment

You might enjoy a hearty breakfast every morning, but don't offer details of your recent culinary treats to Representative Jim McGovern.

The Worcester Democrat is one of the co-chairs of the House Hunger Caucus. He and several other lawmakers on Capitol Hill have spent the past week eating just $3 worth of food each day. That's the national average food stamp benefit in fiscal 2005.
