Celtics Pick Fifth

On Tuesday night, the ping pong balls that determined the order in which the NBA teams would pick from the pool of eligible new players fell in favor of the Portland Trailblazers, who'll have the first choice, and the Seattle Super Sonics, who'll pick second.

The Boston Celtics, owners of the second worst record in the NBA last season, will pick fifth. A tragedy which, according to commentator Bill Littlefield, has rendered New England basketball fans inconsolable.
