Bush in Newport, RI

President Bush visited the Naval War College in Newport yesterday, during his first presidential trip ever to this largely Democratic state. He spoke at an invitation-only event, where he heralded what he called recent successes in Iraq.

The President came for the 50th anniversary of the Naval Command Center that trains international naval officers, and fittingly, Bush focused on foreign policy. WBUR's Nancy Cook reports.
