Odds For MA Gambling
In parking lots and on street corners across Massachusetts this morning, there are a hundreds of men and women waiting to catch a bus to the Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun casinos.
They're among the Bay Staters who spend more than a billion dollars each year gambling in Connecticut and Rhode Island, and that's what supporters hope will be their trump card in efforts to expand gambling in Massachusetts. But critics of such a move say it's a game of bluff. WBUR's Martha Bebinger reports on the stakes.
