Celtics Trade Trumps NBA Scandal

It's been a big week for trades in Boston sports. Headlining the deals, the Red Sox acquired All-Star reliever Eric Gagne and the Celtics signed All-Star forward Kevin Garnett.

The NBA could do with some good news, after last week's allegations that referee Tim Donaghy had bet on games he'd officiated. But that scandal is now sidelined by reaction to this week's basketball trades, according to WBUR'S sports commentator Bill Littlefield, who imagines this conversation between a couple of Boston fans.

This program aired on August 2, 2007. The audio for this program is not available.
