Taking the Fifth

The race for Massachusetts' 5th District congressional seat is now on to the next leg. Primary voters yesterday delivered victories to Democrat Niki Tsongas and Republican Jim Ogonowski.

Those contenders will compete against two independents and one Constitution party candidate in a general election set for October 16th.

The district is centered around Lowell, Lawrence, and Methuen but it also includes some western suburbs of Boston. WBUR's Fred Thys reports.
