Gambling Plan Analysis

Governor Deval Patrick is set to announce today he wants to license three casinos in Massachusetts a move that could means hundreds of millions of dollars in new revenue for the state. Two race tracks East Boston Suffolk Downs and the Wonderland Park in Revere say they'll seek the licenses. But the path from here is far from certain. One leading gambling critic in the state legislature State Representative Dan Bosley calls Patrick's proposal a loser. Joining us now to discuss the plan is Father Richard McGowen associate professor at the Carroll School of Management at Boston College who advised Governor Patrick and his team as they reviewed the pros and cons of casino gambling.
