Faust Faces Expectations

Today, Harvard University is installing its 28th president: Drew Gilpin Faust. The history professor will be the first woman to occupy that office in the school's 371-year history.

Faust is taking over an institution that's been shaken up in recent years and academic observers, on and off campus, will be following her moves.

WBUR's Bianca Vazquez Toness lays out some of the expectations.

This program aired on October 12, 2007. The audio for this program is not available.
