Year in Review: War on the Homefront

This year the war proved deadly for members of the military with Massachusetts ties. Twenty-one Bay State soldiers died in Iraq and Afghanistan.

That is almost double the number killed in 2006. Right now, about 800 national guardsmen and women from Massachusetts are serving in Iraq or Afghanistan.
