Romney Wins MI Primary

Former Governor Mitt Romney heads to South Carolina this morning with a big boost for his campaign: victory in Michigan's Republican Primary.

Romney led yesterday's vote, with 39 percent. John McCain came second, with 30 percent, and Mike Huckabee got 16 percent.

WBUR's Fred Thys has been covering the Romney campaign in Michigan and reports on his rally in Southfield last night.

This program aired on January 16, 2008. The audio for this program is not available.
