Rep. Tsongas, Back from Iraq

Massachusetts' newest member of Congress has just come back from an official visit to Iraq and Afghanistan.

US Representative Niki Tsongas was part of a bipartisan delegation that spent the past week visiting American troops and military commanders, as well as local leaders, in the region.

She's a member of the House Committee on Armed Services. It's responsible for funding and oversight of the Department of Defense and the Armed Forces.

Congresswoman Tsongas is now in Washington, DC, and joins WBUR's Bob Oakes to talk about her trip.
