Introducing the New Education Commissioner
The State Board of Education has unanimously agreed on a new Education Commissioner: Mitchell Dan Chester. He's currently the Senior Associate State Superintendent in Ohio.
Chester was chosen over the other finalists, Lowell Superintendent, Karla Brooks Baehr, and Wallace Foundation Education Director, Richard Laine.
To talk about his view of his job ahead in Massachusetts, Mitchell Dan Chester joins WBUR's Bob Oakes on the phone from Ohio.
This program aired on January 18, 2008. The audio for this program is not available.
