Hub Blog Tracks Violent Crime

An interactive map created by a Boston-area blogger has taken on a life of its own. "Boston Crime" pin-points violent crimes with a gun icon. Blog users click on the map to see, not only a description of the event but also comments memorializing the victims.

Adam Gaffin started the project to document the many crimes he found went unreported by the local media. He didn't expect that friends, family, and even rival gang members would begin posting comments. Adam Gaffin joins WBUR's Delores Handy to talk about his blog.
