Former Boston Doctor Accused

A former top Boston pediatrician faces new allegations that he molested minors while practicing at Children's Hospital more than two decades ago.

The lawsuit accuses Dr. Melvin Levine of sexually molesting former patients between 1967 and 1985, when he was a chief in pediatrics at Children's.

Plaintiff's Attorney Carmen Durso says so far 7 alleged victims claim abuse by Levine.

"They were given physical examinations which I believe were unrelated to the presenting symptoms, and during the course of those examinations they were sexually molested." Durso said.

Levine now practices in North Carolina - he has appeared on the Oprah Winfrey and Today Shows about child learning.

Levine adamantly denies abusing any of the 15-thousand children he's treated in his 40 year career. Children's Hospital, also named in the suit, denies negligence in supervising Levine and says no one has reported abuse by him.
