Dramatic Boston Marathon

The women's finish was the closest in history. Dire Tune outkicked Alevtina Biktimirova after a back-and-forth last mile to win, beating Biktimirova by just 2 seconds.

They ran shoulder to shoulder down Boylston Street, and Tune wound up with her first Boston victory. Her time: 2:25:25.

They played the Kenyan national anthem again for Robert Cheruiyot, who won the race for the third straight time and the fourth time overall. Only three other men have done that.

Cheruiyot's victory also gave Kenya its 15th men's title in 17 years.
