Chelsea Schools Hit Crossroads

As of a few hours ago, a major change took place in the Chelsea public school system, a change that school leaders hope goes relatively unnoticed.

20 years ago, Chelsea turned management of its under-performing school system over to Boston University. As of today, that historic and once controversial management system is over.

Chelsea Superintendent of Schools Thomas Kingston says the community has spent the past three years preparing for this day.
