Hopes for Asylum

A Guatemalan woman detained in the federal raid on a New Bedford factory last year has won her legal fight to stay and work in the United States.

That's given hope to dozens of other immigrants detained in the same same roundup. They're currently waiting for their own court hearings.

WBUR's Bianca Vazquez Toness has more on the story.

This program aired on August 22, 2008. The audio for this program is not available.
