Analysis: DNC Acceptance Speeches

WBUR's political analysts expect a strong performance when Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama addresses his party convention inside a Denver football stadium tonight.

Democrat, Dan Payne and Republican Todd Domke, say Obama needs to focus more on them: that is, the people watching at home.

Payne and Domke tell WBUR's Bob Oaks that Obama must resist getting caught up in the elation of the crowd, and instead offer some policy specifics for the millions of Americans watching the speech on television.

This program aired on August 28, 2008. The audio for this program is not available.
