Dems Wrap Up, Look Ahead

This article is more than 11 years old.

Democrats are headed home after an historic last night of their convention in Denver, where Barack Obama became the first African American to accept the presidential nomination of a major party.

For Massachusetts delegates on Invesco Field at Mile-High Stadium, it was a night to reflect on an emotional week gone by and a night to look to the campaign work ahead.

For some delegates, it was a moment to consider a lifetime of dreams deferred. WBUR's Fred Thys was on the field with the Massachusetts delegation, and joins WBUR's Bob Oakes to talk about their reactions.
