Budget Cut Slashes Brockton Group

Economists will gather at the State House again next Monday to advise lawmakers on the Patrick Administration's revised spending plan.

The hearing is set against a backdrop of budget cuts that have left Massachusetts agencies and organizations reeling this week.

A substance abuse outreach program in Brockton, called Learn to Cope , is now trying to figure out how it will survive, after having its funding slashed by 75 percent. That story now, from WBUR's Meghna Chakrabarti.
