Just seven days away from now, the nation heads to the polls. The election has been a long time coming, and the candidates have trekked a long path to this point.

In the final stretch, the Democratic presidential hopeful, Barack Obama holds a solid lead in the national polls. But his Republican rival John McCain says not to count him out.

For a look at the final days ahead, WBUR's Bob Oakes turns to WBUR's politics analysts. On the democratic side, Dan Payne, and on the Republican side, Todd Domke. They both write for the Boston Globe.
