From Bill To Law: Not What You Learned In School

Senate Democrats will caucus Thursday morning, mainly to talk about the criminal complaint against their colleague, Senator Dianne Wilkerson. They're expected to rubberstamp her removal as a Committee Chairman and refer her case to the Senate Ethics Committee.

The charges that Wilkerson pushed, or worked against, several bills in exchange for bribes have cast a harsh glare on operations at the State House and at Boston City Hall. WBUR's Martha Bebinger reports on what the scandal says about how business gets done on Beacon Hill.

This program aired on October 30, 2008. The audio for this program is not available.
