Governor Applauds Obama's Reported A.G. Choice
Gov. Deval Patrick is commending President-elect Obama's expected selection of Eric Holder as his pick for attorney general — a position for which Patrick himself was a possible candidate.
The governor says he has a high opinion of Holder after working closely with him in the Justice Department during the Clinton administration.
PATRICK: He's a very thoughtful, serious, constructive professional. And he will bring restored luster, I think, to the reputation of the justice department.
Patrick has repeatedly said he would not accept a position in an Obama administration and intends to seek a second term as governor.
