Hate Crimes Double In Newton

Police say the number of hate crimes in Newton has more than doubled this year, compared to each of the last two years.

The city says a swastika found painted on a West Newton synagogue this weekend was the fifteenth instance of a hate crime so far this year.

Last year, there were six reported hate crimes in Newton, all year.
