Gov. Patrick: I Don't Want To Make 'False Promises'
Governor Deval Patrick is back in Boston today, after Tuesday's gathering of governors in Philadelphia.
At least 40 of them represent states that are struggling with budget deficits, and they're looking to Washington for help.
President-elect Barack Obama, who convened the meeting, sought to calm their concerns. He said they"d have a key role, "I'm not simply asking the nation's governors to help implement our economic plan. I'm going to be interested in you helping to draft and shape that economic plan."
Governor Patrick joins WBUR's Bob Oakes this morning to talk about that plan and what's in it for Massachusetts.
