With Fewer Loans, Mass. Migrations To Public Schools
College: It's supposed to be the key to the American Dream. Students are told to reach for the top schools, which are often private...and expensive.
Now they're getting locked out by their inability to keep up with rising costs and dwindling loans. That's prompted an increasing number of students to switch colleges, from private to public.
WBUR's David Boeri reports on the migration in Massachusetts.
