Wintry Mix Snarls Commute, Closes Schools Across Massachusetts

A combination of rain, snow and sleet across eastern Massachusetts has made for a slippery morning.

But National Weather Service Meteorologist Rebecca Gould, says, at least in Boston, the wet weather is on its way out.

"Most of the frozen precipitation will be over in Boston by around noon. It'll take longer in western Massachusetts and could continue through a portion of tonight." Gould said.

At Logan airport, several flights have been canceled and nearly 400 schools are closed or will open late.

WCVB Meteorologist J.C. Monahan joins us with the latest and to give us an idea of what to expect.
