DiMasi Easily Wins Third Term As Speaker

This article is more than 11 years old.

Despite being dogged by an ongoing ethics investigation, Sal DiMasi has easily won re-election to a third term as Speaker of the Massachusetts House.

Yesterday's vote came just days before DiMasi's friend and accountant Richard Vitale is scheduled to appear in court on charges he improperly lobbied the legislature...and the speaker, on behalf the state's ticket brokers.

WBUR'S Steve Brown reports on the leadership vote.
