Kevin McCrea owns a Boston construction company, and lost a bid for city council in 2005.
The South End resident successfully sued the Boston City Council for violating open meetings laws. He consistently criticizes city hall actions on his blog.
MCCREA: The citizens need to know exactly what their candidates will do, in black and white, and that's exactly the kind of candidate I'm going to be.
McCrea says he wants to end school busing, lengthen the school day and publish city finances online.
Mayor Thomas Menino has not yet announced whether he'll run for an unprecedented fifth term this fall.
