The Job Hunt Is Getting Fierce

Competition for jobs in Massachusetts has more than doubled in the past year, according to a new study from Northeastern University.

The study finds there are at least eight people vying for every one job opening in the state. That's more than double than 2007, when there were three people who couldn't find work for every open job.

The unemployment rate in Massachusetts was up
0.4 percent in February, to its highest level since March 1993.
