Counterfeit Cash Reports Double In Boston

In another sign of troubled financial times, Boston Police say reports of counterfeit cash nearly doubled last year from 2007.

Last month, a Dorchester man was arrested and charged with passing at least $100,000 in fake bills.

The Boston Herald reports the majority of the city's more than 100 victims were taxi drivers and food service workers.

The counterfeit bills mostly changed hands in Roxbury, Mattapan and Dorchester.
