Obama's Aunt To Appear In Immigration Court

President Barack Obama's Kenyan aunt is appearing in immigration court for a scheduling hearing in Boston Wednesday morning.

Obama's aunt lost her bid for asylum more than four years ago and was ordered deported. But Zeituni Onyango stayed in the country and lived in public housing in Boston.

Now she's convinced an immigration judge to reconsider her asylum claim, arguing that her situation has changed since the last time she applied.

Immigrants have to prove they face persecution in their home country to win asylum. It's not clear what Onyango's reasons are, and the hearing is closed to the public.

The white house says the President is not getting involved in the case.
