Mass. Boy Injured After Falling On Zoo Movie Set

A teenage boy has been injured after falling in an unused Boston zoo exhibit area that is part of a set for filming of "The Zookeeper" movie.

Franklin Park Zoo spokeswoman Brooke Wardrop said no animals were in the area at the time of the Wednesday afternoon's accident and the movie crew was not on the set.

Fire Department spokesman Steve MacDonald said the 16-year-old boy fell between 20 and 25 feet. He suffered non-life threatening injuries after a net helped break his fall.

A movie set medic was on scene with the boy when firefighters arrived, extracted him from the pit and took him to hospital.

Wardrop said officials are still investigating how the boy got into the area, which is a former gorilla exhibit known as "the lion's den" for the movie.
