October Storm Brings Snow To Mass.

A fall Nor'easter brought snow, winds and high seas to much of Massachusetts.

The rare October snowfall left an inch or two on the ground in some portions of the state. Wind gusts of up to 50 miles per hour were also felt on Cape Cod and the Islands. The winds downed power lines and left several thousand NStar customers on the Cape without electricity during the storm.

Some ferries between the Cape and Islands were canceled as the storm churned up strong coastal waves.

Snow fell during Sunday's New England Patriots game at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, but fans didn't mind too much as they watched the Patriots rout the Tennessee Titans 59-0.

The storm is moving away from the region and sunshine is expected later Monday.
