UNH Poll Shows Coakley In The Lead, Capuano And Pagliuca In Statistical Tie For Second

A poll conducted by the University of New Hampshire Survey Centre published in this morning's Boston Globe shows Martha Coakley ahead among people who say they are registered voters and intend to vote in the Democratic primary next month.

44 percent of those polled said they would vote for Coakley.

22 percent say they would vote for Mike Capuano. 15 percent say they would vote for Steve Pagliuca. The margin of error is 4.4 percent, which puts the two candidates in a statistical tie.

Alan Khazei is in fourth place. 6 percent of those surveyed say they would vote for him.

The poll was conducted from November 13th to November 18th. It surveyed 537 randomly selected voters who said they are registed, have a history of voting in Democratic primaries, and intend to vote in this primary.
