New CEO for Boston Medical Center

Kate Walsh, currently the executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Brighan & Women's Hospital, has been named the new CEO of Boston Medical Center, the hospital announced today.

Walsh, who takes over BMC at a time of great finanancial uncertaintly, previously worked at Massachusetts General Hospital and for the pharmacuetical giant, Novartis, among other positions. She will start the job at BMC March 1.
