Mass. Rep. Frank Appears With Second Obama Official
U.S. Rep. Barney Frank is appearing with another top Obama administration as he wages a re-election fight for the seat he's held in Congress for three decades.
U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Shaun Donovan is planning a joint press conference with the Newton Democrat on Tuesday to announce additional funding to help unemployed Massachusetts homeowners.
The funding was part of a financial overhaul law co-sponsored by Frank, chairman of the House Financial Services Committee.
Last week, Department of Commerce Secretary Gary Locke attended a meeting with Frank and local fisherman to say he was committed to ending overzealous enforcement of federal fishing rules.
Frank is facing a challenge from Republican Sean Bielat, a 35-year-old ex-Marine and Brookline businessman.
